Midland Park Community Ministries

Changing Lives… Changing the Community

Our Goal – A changed life reaching out to help others changes the community for the better.

Our Vision – A healthy, functioning, thriving community less dependent on public assistance.

Midland Park Community Ministries (MPCM) was created in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit outreach ministry of Riverbluff Church to benefit low income families in the North Charleston Area.  Our purpose is to provide emergency assistance (food, clothing, financial).  Through relationship building, we provide the means to help to break the cycle of poverty through education, job information/referral, and church/pastoral referrals for spiritual counsel.

MPCM is located at 2427 Midland Park Road in North Charleston (20406).  The site (Midland Park Ministry Center) is the original church location of Riverbluff (formerly Midland Park Baptist) formed in 1946.  Midland Park Road is located off Rivers Ave. south of Trident Technical College.

Networking

We are committed to developing collaborative partnerships with community organizations and churches that have the same vision and values to accomplish our mission. We are a member agency of Trident United Way and participate in the tricounty wide “Safety Net Services” using the database CharityTracker. This enables us to better meet client needs and connect them to multiple services beyond our scope.

Volunteers

Our organization depends on volunteers. They are a diverse group of people who offer their time, commitment, and experience to make a difference in the local community. Volunteers do all sorts of things and the hours are flexible.  As a volunteer, you will make new friends, learn new skills, gain valuable experience, and meet others who share the same values and interests.
